This web site contains much information to help you decide the best way to scan your film to meet your particular needs. We understand that the options can be confusing - please feel free to call us with your questions. We are committed to understanding your particular needs, and are happy to discuss the options with you. Our normal hours of operation are: M-F 8am - 5pm Mountain time and we are occasionally available on weekends as well. If you have questions, please call - if we aren't available we will return your call. Please read the terms and conditions at the bottom of this page: Click here to see how we agree to do business with you. We want to exceed your expectations in every way - including making it easy for you to do business with us. When you are ready to submit your order, the following suggestions are intended to help make submitting your order easy. If it all seems too complicated - please call us. We'll work to make it easy for you. Tell us what you want: Include a page summarizing the services you are requesting, and to provide payment and shipping information. You can print the web-based order form on your computer and fill it out by hand. Simple orders only require the two order summary pages - the order detail pages are there only if you have more complicated instructions to give us. CLICK HERE to view the order form. Prepare your slides: Group all 35mm slides together. We will attempt to scan slides in the order you have them packaged. Put a rubber band around any boxes of slides that have snap-on covers, so that the slides won't spill out of the box during shipment. Unless you want all slides scanned with the same set of options, number each slide and on a separate piece of paper indicate the processing options you want for each slide. Alternatively, group together all the slides you want scanned in the same way, and clearly indicate how you want the slides in the group scanned. We prefer that you not send slides in slide projector trays. If you do send slide trays, we can not be responsible for damage that may occur to the trays during shipment or handling, nor can we insure that the slides will be placed back in the trays in exactly the same way you sent them. That said, we will do our best to return everything to you just as we receive it. If you have unmounted 35mm transparencies, please cut them into strips of 6 frames. We can process strips 2 - 6 frames long. We will assess a $1 handling surcharge for each single-frame unmounted transparency submitted for processing. Prepare your 35mm negatives: Do not cut individual negatives out of strips - we assess a $1 handling surcharge for each single-frame negative submitted for processing. We can process strips of negatives up to 6 frames long. We must remove all negatives from their protective sleeves in order to scan them. Some film developers use protective sleeves that are bound to the edge of the film with an adhesive - we will remove and discard these sleeves, as they can not be re-used, and place the film in another protective sleeve after scanning. Insure that each protective sleeve contains only one strip of film. Number each strip on its protective sleeve only after removing the film from its protective sleeve (so you won't mark on or create an indentation in the film when you write on the sleeve). On a separate piece of paper, indicate clearly which frames of the strip you wish us to scan, and the processing options for each one. If you want us to scan all the frames on a group of strips, and use the same scanning options for them all, you can bundle all the strips together and indicate the scanning options you want for the group. If you lack protective sleeves for some strips, you can make a sleeve by folding a piece of lint-free paper (like copy paper or note paper). Use only blank paper, never paper that has been printed or written on, as the printing could come off on the film. Note: if you have a large number of uncut rolls of developed film, please contact us to discuss other processing options. Prepare your APS Cartridges: Place each cartridge in a separate numbered envelope. Write your scanning instructions on the envelope, or enclose a piece of paper with instructions in the envelope. Package everything for shipment: If possible, place everything inside plastic bags, for added protection during shipment. Package them in a padded envelope or a sturdy box as is most appropriate for your order. Use a tracking shipper: Send your package to the address listed at the bottom of the page. Always get a tracking number. Let us know its coming: E-mail us at service@coloradophotoheritage.com. Be sure to include your name, the name of the shipper and the tracking number.
Refund Policy: All of our work is satisfaction guaranteed. If you are not completely satisfied with any aspect of your order, let us know and we will work to make it right. Our work comes with a 30-calendar day money-back guarantee from the date we ship your order back to you. Because of the nature of our service, all requests for refunds must be accompanied by a statement, signed by the same person who authorized payment, that no one retains copies in any form, of any of the work for which you are requesting a refund of payment. The customer remains responsible for all shipping costs. Limitation of Liability: By doing business with us you agree that compensation for any damage to or loss of any material submitted to Colorado Photo Heritage LLC for any reason including negligence or other fault is limited to an equal amount of unexposed film.
